Making a difference…one card at a time…

Over two years ago, I had some major surgery. After the surgery, I had the greatest young ICU nurse, who put up with my loopyness out of anaesthesia, helped me figure out how to move my body again – you get the picture.

As soon as I was discharged, I put my notebook computer on my stomach, and sent her a note of gratitude, and a little “angel” pin. I never heard from her – but of course, that wasn’t why I sent it.

Today, I walked out to the mailbox, and there was a letter from a name I didn’t recognize. I opened it up, read it, and immediately teared up. Here it is:

How great is that? Remember – this was over TWO YEARS ago! If you know any “naysayers” that think that a lil’ ole greeting card can’t make a difference – well – perhaps they just haven’t tried. And if you aren’t already a SendOutCards user . . . you can head on over to www.TakeItTeachIt.com and check it out for yourself.
